Having spent most of his teen years touring the UK in bands and touring crews, Brendan Walsh developed a keen interest in a future career that allowed him to stay within music.
Brendan graduated from the Liverpool Sound City: Creative & Digital Entrepreneurship training course with a view to artist management and live promotions. He left the course straight into an Artist Liaison role at Sound City with most of his attention spent on international acts and parties. After a successful Sound City 2015 festival and graduating from University of Liverpool with a degree in Popular Music, he was asked to come back and be a part of the first Zandari Festa and Sound City partnership in October 2015. Working as part of a team that took 6 UK bands over to Seoul, South Korea to showcase. Upon return, he took some time to focus on Fizzy Blood, the act he manages from his own management company, Magpie MGMT.
In December 2015 he accepted a Product Management position at Rob Da Bank’s independent label, Sunday Best Recordings in London and re-located.
At 23, Brendan his still on the younger side for label and management duties but believes that passion for new music as well as an eagerness to always learn and develop is the key to progression and is keen to help other young music business professionals make their way into the industry.
